When you use the Cookbook Picture Manager, each photo gets its own full page (nice and big!). If you want photos within a custom page or Editor message, you use the editor like you did with the text. The custom pages are a bit more advanced. Click the insert photo icon (second row of buttons, 5th from the right). Upload a photo (upload tab), choose file, send to server. You can resize the photo with the "handle" at the lower right corner. You can add all the photos you like a move/resize them.
