Not all font sets offer the symbols for fractions. Some do not have the ⅓, ⅔. ⅛, like standardized fonts do, so they convert them to 1/3, 2/3, 1/8. Arial and Times Roman pretty much work with all the fraction symbols.
In the recipe ingredients list, there is a dropdown menu that can help add fraction to your recipes.
